Best Indian alternatives for TikTok.

Introduction

Tiktok is a widely used app in India and has 120 million users from India only. The Indian youth is quite active in this short video making app. In the lockdown period, while everyone was bored sitting at their home downloaded this app for entertainment purposes. The most downloads of TikTok during the lockdown period is also from India, and it stands at 14.1 million downloads in lockdown period. Tiktok has 1 billion downloads on the total. But the government of India has banned 59 Chinese apps, including TikTok due to which the Indians are finding the alternatives for TikTok. So, let’s look upon the best Indian options for TikTok.

1. Mitron.

Mitron, short video making the app an Indian alternative for TikTok has recently crossed 10M+ downloads and gained huge popularity in India as firstly, it is an Indian app and secondly due to the sudden ban of TikTok. It also has all the similar features as TikTok and can be the best option to make videos. However, there are specific problems and bugs in this app which needs to be fixed.

  • ·     No search option for sound.
  • ·     Not any option of taking the sound from the existing video.
  • ·     Low interface of the app.
  • ·     No customised content.

    2. Roposo – India’s own video app.

I used almost all the Indian alternatives, but in my opinion roposo, video making app is one of the best Indian choices for TikTok. The best part is you can also earn money through this app. You can log in quickly, it has a search option, You can take the sound from the existing video. You can even download the videos, which is the best feature of the app. You can directly share videos on your WhatsApp status too. This app crossed 50 million downloads so far. This app also has some problems which must be solved otherwise, they end up losing their audience.

  • ·     Not be able to see comments.
  • ·     Difficulty in updating profile picture.
  • ·     Sometime takes too much time to get started.
  • ·     Takes too much of your data.

           Chingari.

Chingari, another Indian short video making which also got immense popularity within just a month. It crossed over 10M downloads within the span of short time and become the strong competitor for the rivalry TikTok. It also has some problems as well as some best points. It has a unique game zone, in which you can play games too.

  • ·      Difficulty in updating video from gallery.
  • ·     Takes too much time to show videos.
  • ·     Video not loading even in high-speed internet connection.
  • ·     Various server issues.

         4.  Litlot.

Litlot, another short video making Indian substitute also has the potential to stand as the rivalry for TikTok. This app has crossed 1M downloads on the app store, and its camera quality is the main feature which enhances the whole app. Some of the filters they used are absolutely amazing and has a wide variety of filters. Let’s look upon the troubles this app includes.

·     Lip sync is not appropriately working.

·     Issues in zooming.

·     No option for trimming and selecting song online.

·     Difficulty in opening the app.

5.  Tik kik.

Tikkik, An Indian popular video streaming app also gained massive popularity before even the app is completely developed. It is quite easy to download and create an account on this app. On the other hand, all your private information is safe on Indian apps, unlike Chinese apps. By participating in the various contest, you can earn money too.  Following are the problems it includes.

  • ·     Issues in logging in.
  • ·     Not working correctly, even in high data frequency.
  • ·     Working very slow.

As all this are Indian alternatives, but still we can’t say any of this app can fill in the shoes of TikTok because that app is user-friendly and developed very well. Indian alternatives should try quite hard to conquer that benchmark set-up by TikTok. But TikTok took time and so does this apps. So be patient and keep loving. I would say that these Indian apps had done a brilliant job in, and we knew that it takes time in every best thing that happens in the world.
