Instagram is one of the most popular social networking sites. It is an American photo and video sharing app developed by Kevin system and mike Krieger. Instagram was launched in October 2010. In the year, Instagram was acquired by Facebook. Through Instagram, we can share our stories, pictures and videos. We can also chat with our friends. Video conferencing is also possible through Instagram. Instagram gained lots of popularity after its launch in 2010. Starting with the 1 million users in the year 2010, now, Instagram has over more than 1 billion users, and over 50 billion photos are shared in the year 2020. Due to its immense popularity, Instagram is the 4th most downloaded mobile app in 2010.

Instagram likes.

Instagram also has a feature of liking and commenting on the picture uploaded by the user on Instagram. We can like the picture by tapping the heart shown below the image or video, or we can also like it by double-tapping on the picture. There is a specific limit on likes per hour, and you cannot exceed that limit. The ceiling is 350 likes per hour. It can vary according to different accounts. 

Firstly we can be able to see the number of likes on the picture, but now we can not be able to see the number of likes obtained on the picture. According to employees of Instagram removing the feature of showing likes increase number of posts because some individuals do not post because they humiliated because of fewer likes and that is the reason they didn't post or post less. So by removing the feature of not showing likes on user's post will increase the posts on Instagram because then users don't care about their likes on pictures especially the user's with fewer likes on their photos. They don't feel ashamed or any humiliation while uploading the picture, and they can post without any worries which can increase the number of posts on Instagram. There are more than 4.7 billion likes in a day on Instagram. The most liked picture on Instagram is of an egg with 54.2 million likes.

 Instagram's comment.

Along with the like feature, you can also comment on another Instagram user's photo or video. You can share your opinion about the picture or video through comments. You can also turn off your comment section if you don't want your followers to comment on your post. Instagram users are allowed to use 2200 words in a day for comments and captions. You can't post the same comment over and over and duplicate comments on Instagram. Instagram's most commented picture is of Diego costa, a Spanish footballer with 1.7 million comments on a single picture.

As Instagram is a social networking app, mainly people use it to connect with their friends and family.
