The current scenario in India.

In the year 2020, India ranks 16th among the world in the eSports industry and generates whopping revenue of approximately $1.17 billion. With this, we come to know that India is one of the biggest e-sports markets because India is a population of almost 130 crore people. Among them, 34.33% belongs to the enormous youth population, and that is the reason why e-sports attracts a large number of audience. In many countries, this e-sports were more than a decade ago and but in India, we knew it from the past few years.

Recently the government of India has banned PUBG as it partially a Chinese game and are stealing the data of its users in India. And India has more than 50M+ downloads with 33M+ active users of PUBG. So, this is an excellent opportunity for Indian developers to come up with a game which fills in the shoes of pubg so that people all over the world witness best game similar to that of pubg without any stealing of users data.

Problems of e-sports in India.

In the name of sports, the thinking of Indians is limited up to cricket, football, badminton, etc. And e-sports are new for the youth and their parents also. Parents didn't believe that their children can pursue e-sports as their career. Other than that, lack of high-end computers and laptops among individuals, infrastructure, support from government and parents are also one among the reason for low awareness regarding e-sports. The process is definitely slow, but still, e-sports is emerging as the most important topic as well as a career option for the people of India. In India, like coaching institutes for studies and different sports, we don't have any e-sports coaching institute so that we can go for professional training in that field. Low data quality is also one of the significant hurdles in e-sports for the gamers of India. Government of India also didn't focus much on this field, and not much importance is given to e-sports.

On the other hand, due to increasing popularity of e-sports in India, many developers are working on developing new gaming apps in India, which also leads to rising in job opportunities and awareness of e-ports among Indians.
